About IAFQ » IAFQ Committee

The International Adoptive Families of Queensland (IAFQ) committee is made up of volunteers who work together with the one connection of adoption, and the drive to ensure this is a better place for those that follow in our footsteps.  The committee is a relatively small group volunteering their time to coordinate the running of IAFQ including events and groups that run throughout the year.  The aim is to actively promote intercountry adoption by providing support from the initial stages of application, throughout the whole process including allocation, travel and way beyond.  The committee also represents and lobbies for your interest as an adoptive parent at both state and federal government levels, on a regular basis.

The IAFQ Annual General Meeting is held every year in March, where at this time all positions are declared vacant.  Nominations are taken from September through to February for all positions (please see position descriptions below).  If you would like to nominate for a position, please contact the President or Vice-President for more information.
